Rethreading

At Denhams we have a team of professionals that specialise in rethreading pearls and beads. It is possible to rethread pearls and beads at home, however you risk causing more damage to the piece of jewellery.

Knotting

Knotting is traditionally used to protect pearls from rubbing against each other and to keep them from flying everywhere if the strand breaks - it also makes for an interesting design element. Knotting can be done with almost any type of bead in a thread that matches the colour of your beads, or a contrasting color.
